Junkers JU 52 is the most recognizable German three-engine aircraft from the Second World War. Designed with passengers and goods in mind, it has proven itself well in military aviation. In the initial phase of the war, it was also used as the so-called auxiliary bomber. After the modifications, it towed gliders of landing forces. JU 52 planes transported numerous landing units on all fronts of the war. The most famous operations in which JU 52 took part are: the attack on Greece, Operation Merkur, i.e. the landing in Crete, and aid for the 6th army of Field Marshal Paulus, cut off at Stalingrad.
After World War II, JU 52 was still produced in France under the name AAC. 1 Toucan and in Spain as CASA C.352-L. Single copies can be found in operation until today!
The model made of construction blocks has many movable elements such as rotating wheels with rubber tires, movable propellers and ailerons. The opening door to the transport compartment and the cabin allow you to place inside the figure of a pilot and a German paratrooper (Fallschirmjäger).
