ITALERI 1/48 A-1H SKYRAIDER
SUPER DECALS FOR 4 VERSIONS – COLOR INSTRUCTIONS
The Douglas Skyraider was built right after World War II. Despite its traditional piston engine, born when the first jets were already becoming widespread, the Skyraider has had extraordinary operational longevity. The first flight was carried out in 1945 and was withdrawn from active service only in 1975. It participated in numerous conflicts proving its validity in Korea and Vietnam. Characterized by great maneuverability at low speed, it was capable of carrying an impressive war load exceeding 3,500 kg. Optimized for ground attack missions, it was equipped with robust armor to minimize damage from enemy ground fire. The A-1H Skyrider, thanks to its powerful 2,700 HP radial engine, could fly at 322 mph and carry a wide variety of armament.
