USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) is the third Nimitz-class nuclear-powered super-aircraft carrier in the US Navy. Entered into service in 1982, during her intense career, she has been constantly improved with interventions that have increased her operational capacity. With a tonnage of over 100,000 tons and a crew of over 6,000 men she is capable of taking on board more than 90 planes and helicopters. Nuclear propulsion guarantees almost unlimited autonomy. The Carl Vinson actively participated in numerous operations in different theaters of war. More recently you have contributed to supporting the earthquake victims of Haiti in 2010 and, nowadays, you are a protagonist in the activities of the US Navy in the Pacific Ocean (North Korean crisis).
