COBI VIETNAM WAR – WALKER BULLDOG M41A3 (625 PIECES)
The Walker Bulldog is an American light reconnaissance tank that was intended to stand up to the Soviet tanks of the Cold War. It entered service in 1951, successively replacing the already obsolete M24 Chaffee. It was characterized by good armor and speed. It was armed with the M32 76.2 mm gun. Unfortunately, the engine, which consumed too much fuel, was, like the tracks, very noisy, which was undoubtedly a disadvantage of this vehicle.
A total of 5,500 were produced. First combat use was April 1961 during the failed Bay of Pigs Invasion in Cuba. The tanks were also in Vietnam, where the advantage of the Soviet T-54s was felt. In 1965, the US government sold all the tanks to South Vietnam and other interested countries.
From a set of over 625 COBI construction blocks, you will build an American M41A3 Walker Bulldog light tank. The model contains elements covered with high-quality prints that do not wear off even during intensive use. The construction perfectly reflects the original shapes of its historical prototype. Moving wheels and working tracks, opening hatches, access to the block engine, a movable tower and a very characteristic barrel, as well as two figures of American soldiers with accessories guarantee the satisfaction of having this set! The whole is complemented by a plate with the name of the vehicle.
The Bulldog completes the Vietnam War collection and is the perfect opponent for the Vietnamese T-54 tanks! This set is a must-have for fans of military and Vietnam War history.
