The Alfa Romeo 8C can be considered one of the most famous sports cars of the 1930s. The name of the car derives from the engine adopted: a 2,336 cc supercharged 8-cylinder in-line engine with compressor which became an icon in the automotive panorama of the period. The 8C could in fact be considered the “state of the art” in terms of technology, technical solutions and performance. Characterized by extraordinary road holding and excellent reliability, the Alfa Romeo achieved significant sporting victories on numerous international circuits and linked its name to the famous Mantuan driver Tazio Nuvolari. Among the best-known feats are the victory in the Targa Florio in 1931 and in the Italian Grand Prix. This last victory also contributed to the name of the two-seater GP car side by side which, to celebrate the feat, was called “Monza”. From the racing version, a production batch of almost 200 vehicles was also created for the road market. To celebrate 110 years of activity of the famous Italian manufacturer, the two-seater Sport version is offered, available from the Alfa Romeo sales network of the time for those who wanted to purchase the most victorious sports car of the period.
