The 75mm Panzerabwehrkanone Pak 40. it entered service in early 1941 and became the standard anti-tank gun of the German Army. Although less powerful than the more famous “88”, it was used on all fronts with excellent results. Light and handy weapon, only 1,500 kg, it was capable of piercing 70 mm armour. 2,000 meters away. The gun, slightly modified, was also used on numerous self-propelled armored troops such as the Marder, the Stug III and the Hetzer.
