ITALERI 1/72 WWII US PARATROOPERS
The 101st Airborne Division is the most famous parachute unit that operated during World War II. Because of the badge depicting an eagle with its mouth wide open worn on the soldiers’ shoulders, it is nicknamed the “screaming eagle”. It took part in the D-Day military operations with numerous launches behind German lines with the aim of occupying various strategic objectives. The 101st also participated in the Market Garden operation and, above all, in the Battle of the Bulge, offering strenuous resistance, during the siege of Bastogne, to the last counterattack of the German troops.
