The Saratoga, one of the most famous units of the US Navy, was the protagonist of Operation “Desert Storm” during the 1990/91 war against Iraq. The aircraft embarked from this aircraft carrier operated, in concert with hundreds of other allied aircraft, in operations against the Iraqi forces occupying Kuwait. Despite the age of her conception, the Saratoga is able to carry out the series of missions typical of large aircraft carriers thanks to the series of modifications and adaptations to which she has been subjected over the years.
