DECAL – COLOR INSTRUCTION SHEET
Wehrmacht was the name under which the German army operated during the war on all European and North African fronts for almost 6 years, from 1939 to 1945. On 1 September 1939, two Wehrmacht army groups invaded Poland, thus marking the beginning of the Second World War. The Wehrmacht, characterized by an efficient military and logistical organization, achieved impressive victories by applying the famous “blitzkrieg” through the coordinated use of armored troops, motorized infantry and aviation support. The German infantryman in the first part of the conflict wore the typical “feldgrau” uniform and was equipped with the Mauser K-98 rifle, the MP40 machine gun and the famous Stielhandgranate hand grenades.
