OXFORD 1/87 CHEVROLET PANEL VAN 1950 SPECIALITY FOODS
The Chevrolet Panel Van 1950, also known as the Chevrolet Advance Design Panel Van, was a commercial vehicle produced by Chevrolet from 1947 to 1955. The Advance Design series was Chevrolet’s first post-World War II truck design and featured various body styles, including the panel van.
It had a distinctive and classic design with a boxy shape and rounded edges. It featured a solid front grille, chrome accents, and prominent Chevrolet badging. It had a closed cargo area in the rear, providing ample space for transporting goods or equipment. It featured two large rear doors for easy access to the cargo area.
It was available with different engine options. The base model typically came with a 216 cubic-inch (3.5-liter) inline-six engine, which produced around 90 horsepower. Later models introduced the more powerful 235 cubic-inch (3.9-liter) inline-six engine. The standard transmission was a 3-speed manual gearbox. However, an optional 4-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission were also available.
The Chevrolet Panel Van 1950 is considered a classic and iconic vehicle, often sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. Its durability, timeless design, and historical significance contribute to its popularity in the vintage truck community.
For this reason we consider it a great addition to our 1/87 (H0) range, joining the ambulance and police variants.
