Announced as part of the Autumn 2021 British Railway Announcements, Bachmann are delighted to offer this pair of Great Central Lamp Huts.
Used to store lamps and lamp equipment, huts like these were an essential part of the steam-era railway landscape and with semaphore signalling and oil lamps continuing in use for many years after the demise of steam traction, lamp huts were part of the railway landscape for much of the twentieth century. Whilst modelled on a Great Central Railway design, lamp huts like these were familiar sights across the British railway network so these models are well worth consideration wherever your layout is set.
